If you are looking for a tropical vacation, we can’t think of anywhere better than a visit to Cabo San Lucas! This picturesque and amazing resort destination is one of the most widely visited posts for people all across the world. Known for its staggering rock formations, blue waters, and cliffs over the sea, it is no wonder that this hotspot is so popular all year round.

Cabo San Lucas is located in the southernmost part of Mexico, close to El tezal, Colonia del Sol, and Las Palmas. Featuring miles of coastline, rugged hills in the background, and tons of nightlife and fun things to do, we can’t think of anywhere better for you to de-stress or get your party on!

Let’s check out the top thing to do during a short stay in Cabo San Lucas — even if you are just here for a short weekend, you can make the most out of your trip.

Day 1:

Visit the Arch of Cabo San Lucas

This incredible rock formation is a must-visit for tourists from all over the world. Featuring a famous arch shape, this is the ideal spot for pictures, taking a boat ride to the infamous arch, and diving into the water! Known as ‘El Arco,’ this famous landmark is three stories tall!

 Head to Edith’s for Dinner

Combining the Californian Tex-Mex cuisine with modern American food and traditional Mexican grub, Edith’s is THE hot spot to go on the island. We recommend getting the 1-pound New York Steak with grilled vegetables, the Arracherra with a quesadilla and avocado, grilled fresh fish with steamed spinach, or the chicken breast for a healthy dinner with onion, basil, and fresh garlic.

Plus, make sure you try the seafood while you’re here! We recommend getting crab cakes, shrimp, or lobster to play with the table for a hefty appetizer. After all, you can’t get better seafood than you can in Cabo!

Day 2:

Visit Lovers Beach

If you are in the mood for a beach day then head to Lovers Beach, a beach accessible by water taxi that makes it feel like you are living by yourself on a deserted island. We love this spot for sun tanning, hopping in the water, and chilling out after a long day of exploring the city center (like Puerto Paraiso Shopping Mall!).

Eat at Don Manuel’s

If you are in the mood for high-quality modern Mexican dishes, Don Manuel’s is the place to be. This amazing culinary restaurant offers tasty Mexican cuisine with recipes that have evolved over time.

We recommend getting the beef enmoladas or the slow-cooked duck breast. The beef enmoladas feature mole negro, pickled carrots, heirloom potatoes, and more. The slow-cooked duck breast includes in the meal homemade chorizo, hazelnuts, Xoconostle, and a special sauce. Make sure you also try the watermelon salad with blue goat cheese as an appetizer and the tres leches cake for dessert!

Day 3:

Head To El Medano Beach

By this time, you are probably tired! We think the best thing to do is to head to El Medano Beach, a tranquil and fun spot to hang out, read a book, hop in the water, and head to one of the local bars or dining experiences.

Have dinner at Bar Esquina

If you are in the mood for fresh Mediterranean food with a Mexican flare, look no further! This classy and good-vibe restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, churning up Mexican classics with fresh and local ingredients from around the island.

Get the charcuterie and cheese board to share with the table for a great appetizer! Or try the braised short rib pizza with blue cheese and arugula for a fresh kick. Some of the best classics that are always popular are the Grilled Maine Lobster, featuring brown butter, furikake, and dashi-broth. Or try the grilled Porterhouse is another classic favorite that features roasted potatoes, bacon, garlic chips, and bone marrow sauce. And don’t forget to get dessert! The apple & pear crumble pie with vanilla ice cream is one you don’t want to miss out on.
