Cabo Platinum concierges offer plenty of suggestions for Cabo restaurants. We asked them for several of their favorites. They provided so many delicious experiences we decided to present three per dining posts every three to four months. While we could show dozens, we wanted to be selfish and keep a few of them to ourselves a little longer.

Sur Beach House, Cabo San Lucas
SUR, a destination drinking and dining spot directly located on Medano Beach, features delicious cocktails and succulent seafood-focused fare. Picture Beverly Hills’ celebrated Ivy on Robertson with the surf lapping at the door, and this airy, stylish eatery comes to mind. Breakfast tortas, smoothies, freshly squeezed juices, and strong coffee beverages are the top choices during morning hours. As the day progresses and tropical house music plays, the menu changes to feature Mediterranean-Latin fusion dishes and fresh large seafood platters featuring local catches. Diners can move from the restaurant to the Mexican golden sand and sip cocktails while watching the sunset. Sur also offers outdoor activities, including water bikes, stand-up paddle boarding, morning yoga, and evening fireworks.
La Lupita: Taco & Mezcal
The charming and colorful La Lupita has been where locals sample gourmet varieties of México’s most famous export, the taco. If you make a reservation (highly recommended) dine by the bar where diners can watch fresh artisanal tortillas being made and eat favorites such as barbacoa, al pastor, and of course, the gently fried Baja fish. Tequila, mezcal, and beer pair well with the delicious menu. Fresh chapulines (grasshoppers) arrive with blue chips, pumpkin seed and tomato dip, guacamole, and fresh lime. You might even see a famous face or two. On their IG page, world-renowned Chef Thomas Keller and the Kansas City Chiefs football quarterback Patrick Mahomes have dined on their wares.
Comal, Chileno Bay
Arriving at Comal, Chileno Bay Resort & Residences’ signature Cabo restaurant overwhelms the senses with a breathtaking interior design against the Sea of Cortés as a backdrop. However, it’s the food that provides intensity. Traditional Latin American dishes use a Baja style, creative approaches such as duck carnitas, wagyu barbacoa, sea bass and corn ceviche, and Baja mussels with chorizo. Meanwhile, lovers of traditional mainland Mexican cuisine will find plenty of favorites, such as rib-eye quesadilla, green poblano rice and plantain stuffed with cheese. The establishment offers a lengthy global wine list with plenty of pairing options, including many from Baja California’s celebrated wine country, Valle de Guadalupe. After eating, have a nightcap at the “wedding green” and watch the “uplit” surf — they have spotlights — crashing against the rocks.
