Visit the historic city of San Jose, famous for its downtown arts district. On select Thursday nights, the streets erupt with activity as artists and street performers showcase their crafts, play music, and dance throughout the city. Downtown culinary selections are boundless, with restaurants such as Tequilas, Don Sanchez, The French Riviera Bakery, La Lupitas Tacos, Mezcal, Habaneros and Baja Brew. Those hungry for an authentic farm-to-table experience will love Tamarindos, Flora Farms, and Acre.
These options are also excellent for booking large group events and cooking classes. Each farm provides fresh produce and poultry to a significant portion of the Los Cabos community. The Fisherman's Dock and marina is in close proximity, so prepare for the freshest daily catch of your whole vacation. Flora Farms hosts versatile music and arts events year-round, so consider matching your travel dates with their calendar for a unique festival experience.
A few San Jose del Cabo jewels to explore include the wine shop, cafe, Sanchez Jewelry Boutique, James Perse Fashion, and Eclectic Array, an artisan clothing and handcrafts store. The phenomenal Flora Farms has been featured in Forbes Magazine, Travel & Leisure, and Robb Report. Although our team recommends Flora Farms for lunch, so you can experience the gardens and surrounding setting, it is also a very lively place at night. And if you can’t get a reservation at Flora Farms, then we also recommend the neighboring farm, Acre Baja, also in San Jose del Cabo. Acre Baja has a petting zoo for the kids and a high-energy bar for the single crowd. More recently, Acre Baja built tree-houses which make for hotel rooms and rammed-earth homes where guests can purchase fractional ownership.
